WoodxWatta is Ghana’s newest Afro-Caribbean festival and hosted its inaugural festival in December & January in Accra, Ghana. The two-day festival features an Afro-Caribbean Business Brunch and a Bashment is focused on charting a new path between Africa and the Caribbean and still serving the most fun to our community.
The strategy behind Wood X Watta embodies strength and underscores the unification of two long-lost siblings, Africa and the Caribbean. The choice of chrome elements symbolises the resilience and bold spirit of the people, signifying a renewed unity between these two regions. The incorporation of the gradient in the colours of red, yellow, and green was essential, as these hues hold deep cultural significance and resonate with both parties.
The overall visual identity achieved a groundbreaking appeal, seamlessly adapting to both web and print media. The incorporation of elements like flags, landmarks, avian motifs, and botanical imagery harmoniously coalesced to create a cohesive and captivating visual identity.
